Trabalhando em conjunto desde 1979, Benthem e Crouwel apresentam um belo repertorio de projetos culturais, educacionais e prédios públicos em diversas cidades da Holanda.

Fundado em 1979 pelos arquitetos Jan Benthem e Mels Crouwel, o escritório Benthem Crouwel Architects, desenvolve diversos trabalhos na Holanda, com destaque para seus projetos culturais e prédios públicos. Trabalham muito bem a inserção de seus prédios, se relacionando perfeitamente com o entorno, seja urbano ou em terrenos abertos.

Apresentam em seus projetos volumetrias imponentes, trabalhando com sabedoria a combinação de materiais e texturas. Hoje o escritório ainda conta com os sócios Marcel Blom, Joost Vos, Marten Wassmann e Markus Sporer, divididos entre os dois escritórios nas cidades de Masterdam e Aachen.
