Fantastic Landscape Illustrations by Sebastian Wagner

Fantastic Landscape Illustrations by Sebastian Wagner

Landscape and environment illustrations have been by far my favorite subject when it comes to digital art or even traditional art. I simply love how digital artists are able to come up with illustrations with sometimes surreal, other times futuristic landscapes that are so creative and are able to make us imagine how it would be if one of those were real. I know, this might not make sense, but that's exactly how I feel when I look at the illustrations that Sebastian Wagner created and we're featuring on this post. Photographs of Disappearing Paths, Roads and Walkways

Paths and roads create a powerful visual connection. Beside making great stock photos, they're also great just for inspiration. When using in website design, photos of paths, roads, and walkways can be a great background piece. For print media, they can add a nice, eye-catching touch to postcards or brochures. Photos that contain lots of negative space, such as sky, are perfect for incorporating text. Epic Hawaii Landscape Photography

Epic Hawaii Landscape Photography

Last week we had an amazing post on some of the most astonishing landscapes from New Zealand. Yesterday I was taking a look at some pictures when I ran into an image so epic that I couldn't believe: the Hawaiian sunset. So I searched for more photos of Hawaii and realized something: Hawaii is one of the most epic places on Earth. They got everything there: country, beach, city, lava pits, lava pits meeting the ocean. All of these compose an amazing land, full of eye-candy for all of us, suckers for some Earth photography. These were taken by some really talented photographers. For more of their work, simply click each picture! They'll definitely appreciate your visit. Also, if you got your own photos of Hawaii don't think twice before sharing them with us! Cheers. ;) Michele Falzone Isac Goulart Nolan Nitschke Miles Morgan David Manzi Troy Wong Warren Ishii Nanouk el Gamal Charles Ramiscal Brian Behling Joshua Lambus Charles Ramiscal Tom Kualii Sarah Lee Cj Kale Dustin Gent T Dingle Cj Kale Anthony W. Astonishing New Zealand Landscape Photography

Astonishing New Zealand Landscape Photography

The Hobbit has arrived, and with it, also came a sense of total nostalgia for the Middle-Earth! In case you don't know, New Zealand is the equivalent to the Middle-Earth, the place chosen by Peter Jackson to bring life to Tolkien's works. For me, The Hobbit movies work like a way to bring back good memories of a long-lost place. I might say that it kills my "saudade" of Middle-Earth. "Saudade is a unique Portuguese word that has no immediate translation in English. Saudade describes a deep emotional state of nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. It often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing will never return. It's related to the feelings of longing, yearning. A stronger form of saudade may be felt towards people and things whose whereabouts are unknown, such as a lost lover, or a family member who has gone missing. Saudade was once described as "the love that remains" after someone is gone. Saudade is the recollection of feelings, experiences, places or events that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, which now triggers the senses and makes one live again. It can be described as an emptiness, like someone (e.g., one's children, parents, sibling, grandparents, friends, pets) or something (e.g., places, things one used to do in childhood, or other activities performed in the past) should be there in a particular moment is missing, and the individual feels this absence." - Wikipedia How can I miss a place I've never been to? Simply look at these fantastic pictures by these amazing photographers, and you'll know that the Middle-Earth is a place to be missed. And thankfully, New Zealand is here to be visited and give us that good feeling of a beloved place, whether it's Hobbiton or the forests of Fangorn. Don't forget to check each photographer's portfolios simply by clicking each picture. I hope you enjoy these, and if you got your own pictures of New Zealand, just drop a comment! Beautiful Photography by Leonard Gren

Last week we received a suggestion from one of our readers about Leonard Gren's beautiful fashion photography. And beautiful it is! I was going through his site last night and found other great non-fashion related photos that definitely deserved a mention as well! I think what I love the most about Leonard's work is that it's so clean, as in, not overally processed with textures and what have you. All I've been seeing lately is incredibly overdone photos so this is a nice break from all of that. Anyway, don't forget to check out his portfolio and let me know what you think via twitter or facebook!
